Proximity Access Control Cards

Proximity cards are a form of access control card that is required for use with card readers with a frequency of 125 kHz and various UHF varieties. Proximity cards have a standard read range of approximately 5 inches and operate at 125kHz. UHF  or Ultra High-Frequency cards as they are known operate at a higher frequency, typically 20-30ft and can transfer data much quicker to the reader.
