The Cotag IB981 is a factory-encoded passive tag, compatible with any Cotag reader and when used with a Cotag hands-free reader it has a read range of up to 29cm. With Cotag proximity readers, the reading range is between 2-9cm. Cotag technology allows you to mix both active and passive cards on the same system to provide maximum convenience and cost-efficiency.
